各位亲爱的兔友大家好！欢迎相约土巴兔人物专访，我是李佳。中国的室内设计发展师从国际，近年来，越来越多的中国室内设计师开始走向国际，相应的越来越多的国外设计师进入中国设计市场，人们对国外设计师的认知也逐渐深入，今天我们非常荣幸的邀请到了"一种设计，一种生活"的设计总监Herve先生，听他讲述作为一名国外设计师，对设计和人生的理解是怎样的。

I think design is very important because it can influence people’s life. I strongly believe that living in a beautiful and harmonious environment can make people feel better and positive about themselves and others. A designer then has an important mission as his work will accompany the everyday life of his clients for quite some times. He needs to understand their taste but also to bring them new ideas and new proposals. If the work is properly done, the client’s environment will have a very constructive influence on his life. This is the reason why I dedicated myself to design.

我觉得设计很重要，因为它能影响人们的生活。我坚信在美好和谐的环境中生活，能使人们对自己和他人有更积极的态度和看法。一名设计师会有一个重要的使命，因为他们的设计作品将会在很长一段时间与他的客户朝夕相伴。这个设计师需要了解客户的品味同时又要给客户提出新的想法和意见。如果设计完成的恰到好处，那么生活在这种环境中对客户的生活会产生积极的影响。这也是我倾注心血于设计事业的原因。

Herve先生，欢迎您来到中国，加入中国室内设计这个大家庭，通过多年的接触，你对中国室内设计所处环境和中国室内设计师的现状有什看法？

I think that China has the longest history in interior design as Feng Shui was created here and its powerful influence is still very much felt here before spreading to the West. Chinese people were the first ones to understand the impact of environment on the everyday life and I find it fascinating.

我认为中国在室内设计上有着最悠久的历史，因为“风水学”就是在这里发源的，在其传入西方之前，风水的重要影响让这里的人深有体会。中国人是最早理解环境对于我们日常生活的重大影响，这让我觉得非常棒。

People here have a very open mind and developed an extremely refined taste. Today they are open to new experiences, ready to explore new styles and to create the new Chinese identity. This is what makes it so interesting and stimulating for me to work in China.

这的很多人思维开阔，品味优雅。如今中国人勇于体验新事物，准备好探索新风格，创造新的中国形象。这使设计变的更有趣，这也是促使我来中国工作的原因。

Herve先生，您能跟我们分享一下，你的设计理念是什么，在平常的创作中，你最注重哪些细节和元素？

When I create I need to share an emotion, to create a prosperous environment for my clients. At the beginning ideas are more important than anything else and I can spend a very long time searching for the proper ideas to fit my clients’ needs. I also like to think of what is the new meaning of luxury in our society. Time and space for instance can be the new element of modern luxury as well as new material that just appear on the market.

当我设计的时候我需要共享一种情感，目的是为了给我的客户创造一种积极繁荣的环境。设计初期想法是重中之重，我需要花费很长的一段时间搜索符合客户需要的合适的设计理念。我也喜欢思考在中国这个社会中“奢侈”的新概念。比如，就像刚上市的新材料一样，时间和空间能成为现代奢侈的新元素。

Then I start to think about material, shapes, colours and of course lights to create the desired ambiance. When working on these elements I always wonder how to work them in a new and precious way. I love to combine different elements which are first not thought to be together but once married create new beautiful perspectives.

然后我开始思考材质、形状、色彩，当然，灯光能够创造出期望的格调和氛围。当我专注于这些元素的时候，我总是想办法用更新颖更精确的途径充分表达我的设计理念。我喜欢将不同元素相结合，也许这些元素最初被认为不匹配，但是它们的融合会创造出美丽新视角。

我个人很喜欢你的一副作品——润泽庄园别墅，温馨、精致却不失豪华，非常震撼，你能和我们分享一下，您是怎么做到的，在里面您注入了哪些不一样的元素？

For this kind of project such as Runze, it is important to understand the style that we are mixing, it is modern with a zest of classism. The main idea of this villa is to create a place where the parents and children live in perfect harmony. The colors of the wall and floor remain pretty neutral without much contrast as the furniture will play the contrasting role here. We added some art pieces that would help the kids to develop a sense of creativity. The purpose was for the villa to be at the same time comforting, stimulating and beautiful.

对于北京“润泽庄园”这类项目，了解我们混搭的风格是很重要的---现代风格融入少许古典风格。这个别墅的主要理念就是为父母和孩子创造一个完全和谐的居住环境。墙壁和地板的颜色不需要制造对比，只保持这种非彩色即可，因为家具在整个房间中起到了对比的作用。艺术品的增加能够帮助开发孩子的创造性。这个别墅设计的最终目的就是将舒适，激励和美融为一体。

作为一名阅历丰富的外籍设计师，你是怎么看待国外设计与国内设计的差异和各自的特点？

I think that the main difference is that Chinese people have a wonderful sense of grandeur especially in Beijing and they are moving from Classism to looking for modernity. They have a very open mind for novelty and they also like to show their status.

相比之下，我认为中外设计师最大的不同之处，就是中国人自我完善意识很强，尤其是在北京。他们正在从古典主义向现代主义转变。他们勇于接受创新，并且乐于展示自己的现状。

French designers on the other hand focus their attention on comfort, practicality and well being in an elegant style. Also French designers pay very great attention to details and finishes.

另一方面，法国设计师旨在通过优雅的风格来表现其设计的舒适性、实用性和健康性。法国设计师也非常注重细节和改进。

Because of my French background and my passion for Asia I am trying to integrate all these elements in my designs so my Chinese customers can benefit from the best of both cultures.

On the other hand, I worked with the architect Charlie Woo as her senior designer to work on all the luxury brands we mentioned in our Bio.

Fashion has a stronger and stronger influence on interior design, which is logical as they both influence our everyday life.

Fashion moves and changes faster; it is more demanding and stronger than interior design so it teaches great style lessons. I love fashion because it pushes me to perceive things under many different lights and to open my mind to different perceptive. Thanks to fashion I am able to enrich my work with a lot of new ideas.

因为以前工作的原因，Herve先生经常往返于世界各地，比如巴黎这样的著名时尚、创意之都，见识过各地的室内设计，哪个地方的设计给了你很大的冲击和震撼，为什么？

It is true that Paris is the center of creativity and I feel it always inspires me when I am coming back. The reason is that Paris is at the same time very stimulating, life style becoming an art of itself, and challenging. When you think you have an idea in Paris you realize that someone else in the past or the present already had it and often in a better way. Therefore you have to push your idea further, accept no compromise, be stronger and at the same time more subtle in order to be good. Very rapidly one understands that the French are the masters of balance, neither too much nor too little. This can be the most powerful design statement and at the same time the most difficult one to achieve. If you can make it in Paris you can make it anywhere.

巴黎是名符其实的创意中心。每次从那里回来，我总会获得很多创作灵感。因为巴黎同时也是令人充满激情的城市，在那里，生活方式已经成为一种艺术和挑战。在巴黎，当你认为自己有一个想法的时候，你会发现在过去或者现在已经有其他人产生过同样的想法，并且他们的想法更绝妙。因此，你需要不断向前推进你的观点，不放弃不妥协，你需要变得更强大，需要更细致，目的就是为了变得优秀。因此人们很容易理解法国人能够掌握平衡，使事情做的恰到好处。对于设计来说，这是最有影响的观点，也是最难实现的。如果在巴黎你能够掌握这样的平衡，那么，在任何地方你都能做得到。

自您进入中国室内设计市场以来，您觉得中国的室内设计和其他国家相比，有什么特点更加注重哪方面？

From my point of view, the interior design in China is today at a very interesting stage. Just like with fashion, interior design tries to define the new Chinese identity. There is a lot of energy, a lot of creativity and people are open minded to try new sensations. As a designer I feel very lucky to be in Beijing today as I can be part of this new trend.

在我看来，当今的中国室内设计处于一个非常有趣的阶段。就像时尚一样，室内设计正试图定义一个崭新的中国形象。这里有具有活力，富于创新，这里的人们勇于接受新的感觉。作为一个设计师我非常幸运现在我能在北京从事我的事业，因为我能够成为潮流的一部分。

我知道，您个人特别喜欢中国，您觉得中国什么最吸引您？

China, just like France, has created an ancient civilization that has reached a very high level of refinement and life style. We are “old” countries as Americans would put it and as such we understand each others. For the both of us culture, food, aesthetic, gardens, architecture… are very important and were pushed to the rank of artworks.

像法国一样，中国创造了一个古代文明，这种文明已使这里的人民素质和生活方式达到了一定的高度。美国人会说，中国和法国都是文明古国，因此我们能够相互理解。文化，饮食，审美，园艺，建筑等对于我们两国而言都是非常重要的，而且我们都曾被誉为艺术的领航者。

Chinese way of thinking can be very refined and the attitude towards life extremely inspiring. At the same time, China is waking up and has the same energy as a new country. Ideas are bursting, new styles and new projects are sought after, and the future is written here. The mix of energy is unique and I feel that we are living a blessed moment in history. This is why I am fascinated to be in China today.

中国人的思维方式是很微妙的，对生活的态度非常积极。同时，中国正在崛起，并具有新生国家同样的力量。各种想法不断涌现，新的风格和新的项目广受欢迎，未来就在这里抒写。这种混合的力量是独一无二的，我觉得我们正生活在历史上一段被祝福的时期。这就是现在我希望在中国工作的原因。

Herve先生，能冒昧的问一下您为什么会想成为一名室内设计师呢，是不是有什么特别的事情，让你对室内设计有了新的认识，或者说渴盼

I believe beauty can make the world a better place and with modesty I am trying to bring some to my clients.

我相信美可以使世界变得更美好，我谦逊的并竭尽所能希望将一些美带给我的客户。

作为一位资深的创意设计师，您觉得现在的年轻设计师在哪方面还需要加强？

Design is a work of passion and without passion nothing can be done.

设计是需要热情，没有激情无法成功。

The young designers would have to first learn technique as without it nothing can be done and also the history of style and design. Then they have to free their mind from everything they learned to be themselves and find their own style. We are all looking forward to understanding what the new Chinese vision is going to be.

年轻的设计师首先需要学习设计必备的技巧，设计风格和设计的历史。之后，他们必须解放思想，做他们自己，找出他们自己的风格。我们都期待着去了解中国这个新的设计领域未来的样子。

My final advice is to be truly careful about details. Do not try to be fast for the sake of finishing earlier, this is not a good idea, on the contrary, check each single detail to make it well, even if it takes more time, in the long run it will pay.

我最后的建议是，要真正地去注重细节，不要急于完成作品。急于求成不是一个好主意。相反，要揣摩每一个细节以臻完美，虽然这样会花费很多时间。从长远来看，这绝对是有价值的。
